Kehä is an annual one-to-one art festival in Oulu, Finland. Kulttuuriosuuskunta ILME has been organising Kehä since 2015. Kehä welcomes artists of all disciplines.
The artworks of the festival are produced for one person at a time. A special emphasis of the festival is that the works are open to anyone at the Cultural Centre Valve and also tour different care institutions. Sharing experiences between artists is also an integral part of the festival.
In most years, Kehä-Festival has had a theme that challenges us to explore the possibilities of one-to-one from a certain angle. In 2025, a one-to-one art symposium will be held as a part of the festival both live and online. We invite artists from all over Europe, social and health workers who believe in the possibilities of art, and anyone interested to join us in our shared circle – Kehä.
